03-2015 For the 8th consecutive season of Historic hill-climbing, Gilles Cursoux will be competing in 2015 with his ex-Coupe de l'Avenir Simca-engined barquette.

This car, with modest power, has a weight disadvantage when compared with the competition, which is unusual for a Marcadier.

The 2014 season was particularly satisfying in that Gilles won both the ASA Ondaine and the VHC Auvergne Challenges. All season long Gilles put up a real show against formidable opposition which included Jean Marie Almeras' Porsche 935 and Edmond Gustarini's F2 Chevron.

He was even overall fastest at Vuilllafans. At the last event, Limonest Mont Verdun, he was 2/10ths secs behind Pascal Ferretti, who was in another Marcadier, this time a CanAm version equipped with a 1600cc Lancia engine.

A great season for Gilles, who has elected not to take part in the French National Championship for Historic cars.

Limonest 2014 saw three Marcadiers and three drivers very happy : Gérard Dumoulin, Pascal Ferretti and Gilles Cursoux.
