03-2015 Takashi Nakashima, having already imported into Japan and restored a FM01 barquette, has now acquired a Barzoi.
This particular car was put together in the 1970's by Paul Artuso, who worked at Marcadier building bodies for the kits. It has a top quality finish in dark blue, with a beige interior: it was originally equipped with a modest R8 engine.
It spent a long time in Brittany, then went to a Signor Quaranta who owned a large marine repair dockyard in Italy. There, it featured in the Ruoteclassiche magazine in an article headed "I've never sunk so low!".
For his second Marcadier, Takashi has completely restored the car, installing the correct engine , ie the celebrated type 812 ( R8 Gordini 1300), in lieu of th R5 Alpine one which had been fitted.
