04-2015 A 'barn find' Barzoi... Emeric has acquired a Barzoi which had languished for many years in a village near his home in the Ardeche region.
It's his third Marcadier, a 1970 car with mid-engine and the later rear lid. The engine is from the Renault 16 and the rear suspension is of the double-wishbone type ( similar to a single-seater's), which was an option at the time.
It had been little used, which is often the case: these cars came in 'kits', requiring very careful assembly if they were to be usable and reliable.
This one was actually in fairly good shape, and Emeric is busy doing a partial restoration in readiness for getting it out on the road.
