04-2015 Blue days at Prescott.

Undoubtedly, it's the Goodwood historic races which are the English events best-known by French fans.

In hillclimbing circles, though, it's Prescott which is the most prestigious. Located near the spa town of Cheltenham in Gloucestershire, Prescott hosts several hillclimbs each year, including the "La Vie en Bleu" event, held this year on 24th May, which principally celebrates French cars, (though marques from other countries are also accepted).

The Bugatti Owners Club, which owns Prescott, featured the Veyron, production of which has now ceased. But there were numerous other French-manufactured cars, all in an atmosphere which included Gendarmes, accordions and, of course, French food.

And, yes, there was a Marcadier too: the Can Am of Londoner Tony Gomis who came fourth in his class, behind a Porsche GT3, a twin-turbo Alpine GTA, and England's fastest Alpine A110.
