05-2015 Marcadier at the 'Classic Days' event. Since its inauguration in 2007, Marcadiers have participated in this event organised by Max Mamers. The concept is to allow owners to run their cars on a Formula 1 circuit without the pressures of engaging in actual competion.
Magny Cours is symbolic of Marcadier's beginnings, as it was here that, in 1965, the first Sport Auto trophy for FM 01 sport - racer took place. The 2015 edition was held under wet conditions, a change from previous years. Nevertheless 24000 fans braved the weather to attend an event which attracts whole families keen to admire their favourite cars.
Amongst these was Henri Pescarolo's Matra MS670 with its unmistakable engine note. An occasion to remember that great driver and his car. Ten Marcadiers were present: Barzois, sport - racers and even a single-seater Aral.
Both regulars and newcomers enjoyed taking their cars out on a circuit without the risks related to competition. One of those regulars is Gerard Gamand, the boss of Autodiva, with his magnificent F2 Pygmee. He took the opportunity to take a lovely Barzoi out onto the track.
