06-2016 A Marcadier barquette in psychedelic colours has seen the light of day thanks to Horst Linn, a German enthusiast for French sports cars.

Celebrated contemporary artist Markus Muller dedicated 460 hours on the work. Based for the past ten years in Dresden, he is well known internationally.

This car follows on from the Art Cars tradition created by Hervé Poulain at the end of the 1970's, when BMW ran 3.0 CSL's at Le Mans decorated with artwork by the best-known contemporary artists including Calder, Stella, Warhol, Lichtenstein.... These cars can now be found in the BMW museum in Munich. The idea continued in 1994 with a Venturi 600 LM painted by Armand and, in 1998, a Porsche 911 GT2 painted by the late Georges Wolinski.

The Markus Muller Marcadier will soon be part of the Bucheim museum collection (www.speedtreibhaus.de) created by Horst Linn: German television will be featuring it.
