12-2015 A MARCADIER weekend in Japan.

Shoji Murata is a lucky man, being the owner of two very desirable FOURNIER-MARCADIER'S : an FM01 Barquette and a mid-engined Barzoi .

He participates regularly in activities of the local Renault clubs, alongside Alpines, Spiders, R8Gordinis, etc... It was last May that one of their meetings took them to the Mount Fuji circuit ( Japan's equivalent of Magny Cours ) for an open day: Marcadiers always raise a lot of interest from the locals, fascinated by these little cars which come from so far away.

The first Marcadier reached Japan in 1989, forming part of an exhibition in Yokohama showing the best from Lyon. Over six months, more than 20 million visitors were able to view a Barzoi, set in a 60 hectare site alongside other vehicles from the Henri Malartre Museum, including an 1895 Rochet-Schneider and a 1927 Jean Gras. Cars from Lyon form part of the world's great collection of treasured vehicles.
